High elastic polymer compound. It is divided into natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Natural rubber is made by extracting gum from rubber trees, rubber grass and other plants; Synthetic rubber is obtained by polymerization of various monomers. Rubber products are widely used in all aspects of industry or life.

Rubber seals It is a common basic element in the sealing device and plays a very important role in the contradiction between leakage and sealing. Solve the leakage and sealing of human conquering nature. This is an important way to promote technological progress, prevent and reduce environmental pollution. Rubber seal is a kind of rubber product widely used in sealing technology. Because rubber has valuable elastic polymer material and wide temperature range, small deformation in different media will produce large deformation. This deformation can provide contact pressure, compensate leakage clearance and achieve the purpose of sealing.

When using rubber seals, we may notice that the product has dimensional tolerances. Then, how is the dimensional tolerance calculated?

 Rubber seals

Rubber seals have a high tolerance class and should only be used when required in the application. They should be limited to those dimensions considered critical. The higher the accuracy of use, the more stringent all controls that must be implemented in the manufacturing process, and therefore the higher the cost. When the product requires certain special properties, the use of compounds that can be molded with strict tolerances may not always provide these properties. In this case, the parties concerned shall consult. Generally, low hardness vulcanized rubber requires greater tolerance than high hardness vulcanized rubber. Dimensional tolerance levels and tolerance values are specified for compacted, extruded and calendered dense rubber products, and the corresponding test methods required to determine compliance with standards are also specified. This standard does not apply to calendered composite products, such as precision ring seals or tapes, or products coated with rubber by silicone methods.
