1、 Raw materials are the core

The core of raw materials is molecular weight. Theoretically, the higher the molecular weight of raw materials, the better the wear resistance. However, as a wear plate, other mechanical properties should also be considered, as well as its long-term service stability. Therefore, depending on the mold equipment and processing and molding process, high molecular weight raw materials may not be able to produce UHMWPE sheets with good comprehensive properties. At present, the processing technology of UHMWPE sheet has not been standardized, and manufacturers vary greatly. Mainly in mold structure and process control. Therefore, there is no difference on the surface of the prepared ultrahigh molecular polyethylene sheet, but the refractive index gap is very large. Here, empirical things also account for a relatively large proportion.


2、 Mold

The production mold is the key factor affecting the quality of the molded plate, because: ① If the compression ratio of the mold is not designed reasonably, it will lead to the difficulty in extruding the pipe, or the lack of compactness, pressure resistance, and mechanical properties. ② The flow channel is blocked, the raw material is excessively degraded during extrusion, and the performance of UHMWPE pipe is reduced. ③ The pipe is easy to crack due to unreasonable structure, poor plasticization or poor fusion. ④ Unreasonable structure, large extrusion fluctuation and difficult operation. The production of UHMWPE sheets is mainly based on experience. The main reason is that the mold design is unreasonable. Good mold design will achieve the following effects. ① Good operation and stable production. As long as there is no obvious change in temperature, the appearance of the pipe will not be affected by the change in external ambient temperature. ② The good internal indicators of pipelines mainly refer to the compactness and degradation of UHMWPE sheets.


3、 Extrusion process:

The extrusion process of the molded plate is also crucial to the inherent performance of the pipeline. Molded plates with different molecular weights need different processing and extrusion temperatures. When the molecular weight is 250 ± 500000, the plasticizing temperature should be about 240 degrees. If it is too low, the surface of the pipe will be old and the plasticizing effect will be poor. For the same raw materials, usually adjust the mold to set the appropriate temperature.
